In order to have maximum protection while using your Plugfones, it is important to ensure you have them properly inserted. In this short article, we are going to explain how you can insert your Plugfones or any other earplug you may be using. For reference, we have also included a video below you can watch.
Inserting your Plugfones:
- Clean your hands: Before handling earplugs, make sure your hands are clean to avoid introducing dirt or bacteria into your ears.
- Roll or mold the earplugs: Roll them between your fingers to compress them into a small, thin cylinder.
- Reach for your opposite hand: If you are inserting an earplug into your right ear, use your left hand, and vice versa. This helps with better control and stability.
- Lift your ear: Gently reach over your head with your opposite hand and use your fingers to lift the upper part of your ear. This action straightens the ear canal, allowing easier insertion of the earplug.
- Insert the earplug: Holding the rolled or molded earplug with your thumb and forefinger, carefully insert it into the ear canal. Make sure not to push it too far or too forcefully to avoid damaging your ear.
- Allow expansion: If you are using the foam tip Comfortiered™ earplugs, hold the earplug in place for a few seconds to allow it to expand and conform to the shape of your ear canal. This ensures a snug fit and maximum noise reduction.
- Check the fit: After the earplug has expanded, gently press on it to ensure it sits securely in your ear without falling out. You should feel a comfortable seal that blocks out unwanted noise.
- Repeat the process for the other ear: If you need to insert an earplug in the other ear, follow the same steps using the opposite hand.
